Abstract This Order establishes extraordinary phitosanitary protecting measures to combat nematode pest in pinewood nematode 'Bursaphelenchus xylophilus'. It consists of 13 articles and 6 annexes specifying the sanitary measures to be applied in order to combat the aforementioned tree pest (NMP) in 'Bursaphelenchus xylophilus' (Steiner et Buhrer) Nickle et al. and its vector 'Monochamus galloprovincialis' (Oliv.), in order to avoid the spreading of such pest and carry out a programme for its eradication within the Portuguese territory. Annexes specifies involved areas to be protected by urgent phitosanitary measures.
