Abstract

This Order establishes that on state nature reserve of federal significance “Urban pine forest” shall be classified as complex protected area destined for conservation and reproduction of rare and endangered wild fauna and wild flora species constituted for an indefinite time period. Nature reserve shall be located in the Kaluga region. It shall perform the following tasks: (a) conservation and reproduction of wild fauna species, including rare and endangered species; (b) protection of natural habitats of wild fauna species; (c) scientific research; (d) ecological monitoring; and (f) ecological education. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of state nature reserve: (a) exploration, mining and extraction of minerals; (b) soil disturbance; (c) timber extraction and soft resin collection; (d) burning of dry vegetation; (e) land reclamation and irrigation; (f) disturbance and destruction of wild fauna species; (g) application of fertilizers and agro-chemicals; and (h) ploughing up.
