Order No. 455 of the Ministry of Agriculture validating the Regulation on laboratory testing of high quality seeds.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities for carrying out laboratory testing of high quality seeds. It regulates the modalities, terms and conditions for attributing seeds to a determined plant variety and determining their purity through laboratory analysis. Elite seeds and first generation reproduction seeds destined for subsequent trade shall be subject to laboratory testing of high quality seeds carried out by the State Commission on testing of seeds of agricultural crops under the Ministry of Agriculture. Laboratory testing of high quality seeds shall be performed once every three years for elite seeds and once every five years for first generation reproduction seeds. Annex 1 contains the application form for testing.
