Abstract This Order creates the Programme on Cleaner Rivers (Rios + Limpos). The Rios + Limpos Programme aims to: provide data and information on the quality of water and effluents, promoting continuous improvement in water management; promote actions for the cleaning of rivers and the improvement of water quality; encourage cleaning and garbage collection actions in rivers, lakes, ponds and river beaches; promote actions to encourage the implementation of decentralized effluent treatment systems in areas not served by traditional systems; and promote actions aimed at the reuse of effluents in the country. Details of the Rios + Limpos Programme will be carried out by the Department of Environmental Quality and published at https://www.gov.br/mma/pt-br/assuntos/agendaambientalurbana/qualidade-da-agua of the Ministry of the Environment.
