The main tasks of state monitoring of subsoil shall be: (a) collection of data and information on subsoil; (b) assessment of the state of subsoil and forecasting changes thereof; (c) registration of the stock of groundwater; (d) prevention of negative geological impacts; and (e) providing state bodies, organizations and subsoil managers with information regarding changes in the state of subsoil. State monitoring of subsoil shall be composed of: (a) groundwater monitoring; (b) monitoring of hazardous exogenous geological processes; (c) monitoring of hazardous endogenous geological processes; and (d) monitoring of hydrocarbons.
