Abstract

This Order establishes the procedure for carrying out acclimatization of aquatic biological resources in fishery waterbodies with a view of creating stable populations thereof in waterbodies where they were previously absent. Acclimatization shall be carried out in accordance with annual plans validated by the Federal fisheries Agency containing biological substantiation specifying the following: (a) advisability of acclimatization arrangements; (b) properties of aquatic biological resources proposed for acclimatization (biological, ecological and nutritional values); (c) acceptance capacity of waterbodies proposed for introduction of alien species; and (d) recommendations for realization of acclimatization arrangements.
