It establishes the following amount of reduction limits for greenhouse gas emissions for the period from 2008 to 2012 for the total amount of 300 million tonnes in carbon dioxide (CO2) equivalent. The following limits shall be set for greenhouse gas emissions by sectoral emission sources and absorption thereof by absorbents in million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) equivalent: (a) reduction limits for greenhouse gas emissions: energy – 205; industrial processes – 25; use of solvents and other agents – 5; agriculture – 30; and waste – 15; and (b) absorption limits for greenhouse gas on account of land use, change thereof and forestry – 20.
