Abstract

This Order establishes that disinfection of quarantineable items by gasification with subsequent degasifying treatment shall be carried out in accordance with contract concluded between the owners, users of quarantineable items, recipients thereof or shipping and forwarding agents on the one hand and the authorized legal persons or individual entrepreneurs on the other hand. Quarantineable items imported to the Russian Federation shall be subject to disinfection in the following cases: (a) identification of pests therein; and (b) prevention of spreading of pests (preventive disinfection). Quarantineable items exported from the Russian Federation shall be subject to disinfection in the following cases: (a) contractual arrangements; (b) by request of the cargo owner; and (c) by request of the official national plant protection and plant quarantine institution of the importing country. Disinfection of quarantineable items shall be subject to licensing.
