Abstract This Order, consisting of six articles, establishes the quota for makerel (Scomber scombrus) fishing in 2014 performed by the Portuguese fleet. It establishes that pursuant to Council Regulation (EU) No. 43/2014 of 20 January 2014, Portugal is assigned to a quota of 5.998 tonnes of mackerel, which are broken down as follows: a) 17.5% assigned to the fleet of wide licensed operating in the North Atlantic; b) 72.5% assigned to local and licensed inshore fleet operating in the specified areas up to 30 June 2014; c) 10% allocated to local and licensed inshore fleet to operate in specified areas from 1 July 2014.
