This Order enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Order establishes the rules and requirements for timber extraction as main use felling in the process of special forest management, based on compliance with the principles of continuous, non-exhausting and rational use of forest resources, conservation of the conditions for reproduction of high-yielding stable forest species stand, their ecological and other useful properties. It shall be applicable to all forests, except for Carpathian mountainous forests. During timber extraction it is not allowed to cut down and damage trees and shrubs included in the Red Book of Ukraine, seedlings, elite (plus) and other trees of exceptional importance for the conservation of biodiversity. Depending on the category of forests, forestry conditions, biological peculiarities of forest species, composition and structure of forest stands, availability and condition of growth of commercially valuable species and other features of forest areas, selective, gradual, combined, continuous logging systems shall be used.
