Reserve shall be located in the Republic of Daghestan. Reserve shall have the following purposes: (a) conservation, recovery and reproduction of wild fauna and biological diversity, maintenance of ecological balance; (b) conservation of migratory routes of wild fauna species (c) research; (d) ecological monitoring; and (d) ecological education. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of reserve: (a) all types of hunting; (b) industrial fisheries; (c) geological exploration of subsoil and mining; (d) recreational activity; (e) application of chemicals and fertilizers; (f) waste disposal; and (h) introduction and acclimatization of living organisms.
