Abstract

The purpose of this Order shall be to protect the population against diseases common to animals and human beings that are transmitted through poor-quality products of animal origin. Regional chief veterinary inspectors shall test poor quality products of animal origin and plant origin and shall determine the modalities of use or destruction thereof, taking into consideration: (a) the availability and accuracy of accompanying veterinary certificates; (b) compliance of products with accompanying certification, availability of seals and markings, and intactness of packaging. The conclusion shall specify how the product is to be used, such as for alimentary purposes, sterilization, recycling or destruction, and/or shall require the disinfection of raw alimentary materials and foodstuffs.
