Abstract

This Order approves the charter for the Department of Development of Regions and Mountainous Areas of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia. The charter consists of 10 articles: General provisions (1); Authority of the Department (2); Structure of the Department (3); Division for Development of Mountainous Areas (4); Regional Development Division (5); Chairperson of the Department (6); Deputy chairperson of the Department (7); Chairperson of a division (8); Civil servant of the Department (7); and Incumbent chairpersons (8). The main objectives of the Department are developing priorities for socio-economic development of the regions and mountainous areas of Georgia, participating in the strategic planning for these areas, coordination of public and private initiatives aimed for the development of these areas, and providing support to the operation of the National Council of Development of Mountainous Areas of Georgia.
