Abstract

The principal target of the Fundamental Guidelines is the improvement of the state of public health, prophylaxis of diseases related to the worsening of feeding, and the improvement as the consequence thereof the demographic situation in the Ukraine. Special attention must be paid to infant feeding. One of the main directions is the development of fundamental research regarding the introduction of new technologies in the food processing industry and also for the purpose of estimates of the need of the human organism of biological substances and new food raw materials. The following arrangements shall be made in order to achieve the established goal: 1) to ensure access of all strata of the population to foodstuffs in sufficient quantity; 2) to ensure the efficient functioning of the state system of quality control of foodstuffs; 3) to carry out the systematic monitoring of the state of adult and infant feeding; 4) to raise the manufacturing of high quality national foodstuffs and to reduce for such purpose the utilization of GMOs.
