Abstract

Methodical instructions shall be destined for organizations engaged in economic and other activities in the territory of the Russian Federation and establish the procedure for quantifying the amount of indirect energy emissions generated as a result of consumption by organizations of electric and thermal energy received from external generating facilities, for monitoring, reporting and verifying greenhouse gas emissions. The volume of emissions is determined for a calendar year separately for each branch and a separate subdivision of an organization, or in general for the whole organization, with the distribution for each branch or separate subdivision. This is performed in accordance with regional and market methods. The regional method reflects the average intensity of greenhouse gas emissions at facilities generating electricity and heat that is consumed by the organization. The market method is used when the organization consumes electricity received through bilateral electricity purchase and sale contracts. Information (report) on emissions is stored in the organization in electronic and paper form no less than 5 years after the end of the reporting period.
