Abstract

This Order establishes the modalities of distribution among the regions of the Russian Federation of industrial quotas for catches of freshwater biological resources. It shall be applicable to freshwater water bodies pertaining to federal property. Fishing research institutions subordinated to the Federal Fisheries Agency shall provide for a total allowable annual catch for freshwater water bodies, propose a distribution of industrial quotas for catch of freshwater biological resources between the regions of the Russian Federation and submit the aforesaid proposals to basin institutions. Basin institutions shall submit their proposals on the matter to the Federal Fisheries Agency that shall distribute the aforesaid quotas between the regions within 10 December annually.
