Abstract

The Regulation consists of 7 Sections. Ichthyologic branches shall ensure inspection of the state and rational use of aquatic biological resources and elaboration of proposals regarding conservation thereof, stock enhancement and reproduction of the fish stocks and regulation of fisheries. Ichthyologic branches are central ichthyologic subdivisions of the basin fishing inspections. The main tasks of the ichthyologic branches are to ensure control over management of aquatic biological resources and establishment of the fisheries regulations, data collection to be recorded in the Register of aquatic biological resources of the Russian Federation, registration and control over the state of spawning grounds (breeding grounds of marine mammals), and determination of the efficiency of the natural and the artificial reproduction of stocks.
