Abstract This Order, adopted by the Danish Ministry of Education, lays down rules on agricultural education. As a vocational training, agricultural education has the overall purpose that students and apprentices acquire knowledge and skills within the following main competency areas: 1. Crop production; 2. Livestock production and animal breeding; 3. Machine operation tasks and related services; 4. General, social, and personal competencies; 5. Perspective on different production methods, including organic, environmentally friendly, sustainable, and nature-friendly methods, as well as production methods that ensure animal welfare and a good working environment; 6. Execution of all tasks in primary agricultural production; 7. Undertaking responsibility for the strategic development of an agriculture-related enterprise with a focus on financial management, production, and sales.
