Abstract

This Order establishes that on state nature reserve of federal significance “Kabansky” shall be classified as biological protected area (reserve) destined for conservation and reproduction of wild fauna species (waterfowl), fishes and other living organisms of wetlands populating delta of Selenga river and the Baikal lake. It shall perform the following tasks: (a) conservation and reproduction of wild fauna species, including aquatic species and birds, ecologically linked to wetlands; (b) fish stock conservation; (c) improvement of habitats of protected and endangered wild fauna species; and (d) protection of rare and endangered wild flora species and growing grounds thereof. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of state nature reserve: (a) hunting; (b) fisheries; (c) land reclamation and irrigation; (d) burning of vegetation; (e) haymaking, grazing of agricultural animals in the period of egg laying and brood time of waterfowl.
