Abstract Regulation of the nature monument “Bird water” establishes classification of the nature monument as waterfall, located in the administrative border of Mets Parni rural community of Lori administrative area of RA. The water discharge area is covered with large rocks. The area of the waterfall is composed of volcanic rocks of the Middle Eocene Lutetian-Barton floors (about 37-49 million years ago) (Shirak or layered tuffs: tuff-alroliths, tuff-sandstones, tuff-limestones). The height of the waterfall is 1786 meters above sea level, the height of the water jet is 23-24 meters, the width of the falling water is 3-4 meters, the maximum flow is 2.57 deep m/s (May), the minimum flow is 0.57 m/s (December). The following activities shall be authorized in the area of nature monument: (a) recreational water use; (b) scientific research and monitoring; (c) tourism; and (d) restoration of disturbed ecosystems.
