Abstract

This Order establishes that introduction of animals, fish stock enhancement, acclimatization of alien fish species and amelioration of water bodies for fish culture shall be carried out as integral part of complex arrangements for repopulation of fishing waterbodies with the consideration of characteristics of fish species and acceptance capacity of waterbodies. Introduction of animals shall be a subcase of acclimatization. Acclimatization shall be of two types: full cycle (complete) and gradual. In order to preserve genetic fund of aquatic biological diversity release to waterbodies of hybrid fish species shall be prohibited. Stock enhancement and acclimatization of imported fish species shall be performed exclusively by authorization of the authorized fisheries institution.
