This Order enters into force on the date of publication.
Abstract

This Order establishes the requirements for public and private zoological garden licence. It consists of 17 articles specifying sanitary requirements and standards to be satisfied by zoological gardens in order to obtain the authorization for performing this activity. It also makes provisions for zoo standards such as: that 40 % (or more) of animals must originate from brazilian wildlife, information labels on cages, etc. The aforementioned authorization for zoological gardens shall expire after 1 year and shall be renewed.
