Abstract

This Order establishes additional protective phytosanitary measures against 'Pseudomonas solanacearum' (Smith) in potato imports from Egypt. It specifies that all potatoes originating from Egypt must satisfy specific requirements in compliance with EU Commission Decision No. 96/301/EU. Such potatoes may be delivered only in the ports of Lisbon and Leixoes, accompanied by relative documentation, a minimum of 48 hours in advance, to the competent authorities. Potatoes shall be subject to special phytosanitary controls (all costs to be charged on importers), etc.
