This Veterinary Regulation establishes the application of preventive, diagnostic, restrictive and other measures, the establishment and abolition of quarantine and other restrictions aimed at preventing the spread and elimination of foci of smallpox and sheep pox on the territory of the Russian Federation. It also delimits the boundaries of the territory to which the regime of restrictive measures and (or) quarantine should be extended, including the definition of the locus of animal disease, the implementation of epizootic zoning, including the identification of the types of zones in order to differentiate the restrictions established by the decision on the introduction of the restrictive measures and (or) quarantine, restrictions on the production, movement, storage and trade of commodities subject to veterinary control (supervision), and requirements for the specifics of the application of such restrictions, including activities related to production facilities located in the quarantine zone. It lists preventive, restrictive and diagnostic arrangements to be applicable in case of the outbreak of disease.
