Abstract This Order establishes the conditions and procedures applicable to the attribution, in 2022, of a subsidy, within the scope of the fishing sector, which corresponds to a reduction in the final price of gasoline and natural gas liquefied petroleum (LPG) consumed for small-scale artisanal and coastal fishing, small-scale aquaculture and saliculture, equivalent to the results from the reduction in the rate applicable to diesel consumed in fishing. This Order applies to natural and legal persons who carry out small-scale and coastal fishing and who are owners of vessels registered in the mainland fishing fleet, with a valid licence, and use gasoline or LPG as fuel in the engine installed on board. It also applies to natural persons and micro, small and medium-sized companies, within the meaning of the provisions of article 2 of the annex to Decree-Law No. 372/2007 of 6 November, holders of licences for aquaculture establishments or title to carry out aquaculture activity on the mainland, whose average production volume declared in the production records of the last three years is less than 20 tonnes for all the establishments they hold.
