Abstract

This Order establishes the modalities of registration of birds of prey (Falconiformes and Strigiformes). Owners of the birds of prey shall be recognized natural and legal persons that have obtained the birds of prey in accordance with the modalities established by the national legislation. Birds of prey kept in captivity on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall be subject to compulsory registration by the territorial bodies of the Forest and Hunting Committee. Keeping of the birds of prey shall be classified as permanent and temporary (for the period of 90 days not subject to extension). In case of permanent keeping territorial bodies of the Forest and Hunting Committee shall issue to the owner certificate of purchase of bird of prey and passport of bird of prey. The applicant shall submit the following documentation requested for the issuance of passport of bird of prey: (a) application specifying gender, age of bird of prey, purpose of keeping, time, place and modalities of purchase, presence of bands, microchips, availability of conditions for keeping in captivity, and personal data and address of the applicant; (b) certificates attesting legal purchase of bird of prey; (c) hunter’s card; and (d) photocopy of the owner of bird of prey.
