Abstract This Order, consisting of 17 articles and 2 Annexes, sets out the system of production and trade of wines and wine products entitled to the appellation of origin (DO) "Bairrada". The appellation of origin for wines 'Bairrada' may be used for the production of the following product categories: White, red or rose wine; Quality sparkling wine; Liqueur wine; spirits and 'Bagaceira' wine. The wine products above mentioned shall be made in the respective geographical area and satisfy the requirements established by this Order and other legislation, except for distilled wine to be added to the production of liqueur wine. The Annexes specify the wine production areas entitled to produce Bairrada DO wines and lists the typology of wines.
