The veterinary inspectors shall have the following functions: 1) supervision of the modalities of acceptance and keeping of animals and poultry before slaughtering; 2) supervision of raw meat and poultry destined for processing; 3) supervision over the observance of sanitary and hygienic requirements during processing, packaging, storage and labelling of raw materials and of the finished commodities; 4) veterinary control over the observance of the terms and conditions of storage of meat and meat-based products, raw materials and fodder of animal origin at the meat processing enterprises.
