Abstract

The main tasks of the state veterinary supervision at meat processing enterprises (shops) shall be carrying out the state veterinary supervision over the acceptance, processing of animals and poultry, ensuring hygienic and sanitary supervision over the quality of food products. The veterinary inspectors shall have the following functions: 1) supervision of the modalities of acceptance and keeping of animals and poultry before slaughtering; 2) supervision of raw meat and poultry destined for processing; 3) supervision over the observance of sanitary and hygienic requirements during processing, packaging, storage and labelling of raw materials and of the finished commodities; 4) veterinary control over the observance of the terms and conditions of storage of meat and meat-based products, raw materials and fodder of animal origin at the meat processing enterprises.
