Abstract

This Order establishes the modalities of state forest inventory to be conducted by the Federal Forest Agency concerning the forests pertaining to state forest fund, and also located on land of other categories, by terrestrial and aerial methods with the use of mathematical statistics. State forest inventory shall have the following purposes: (a) timely identification and forecast of processes having negative impact on forests; (b) evaluation of the efficiency of forest conservation, protection and reproduction arrangements; and (c) information support of forest management. The following arrangements shall be applied for carrying out state forest inventory: (a) distant forest monitoring; (b) evaluation of forest conservation, protection and reproduction arrangements; (c) formation of federal information resources; and (d) specification of quantitative and qualitative characteristics of forests.
