Abstract This Regulation determines the procedure for conducting genomic assessment. Genomic assessment shall be intended a predictive assessment of the genetic value of the selected characteristics of an animal based on their genomic information, carried out in the manner determined by the authorized body in the field of livestock breeding. Genomic assessment is carried out on the basis of a reference database. In the national territory for each animal breed, one reference database is created and operated for the corresponding animal breed. Genomic assessment is carried out by agricultural scientific organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan that are included in the list of institutions (organizations) of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, on the basis of which analytical support is provided for selection and breeding activities in the field of livestock breeding carried out in the member states. The scientific organization for conducting the genomic assessment is selected autonomously by the breeding center. The reference database contains a list of animals according to the corresponding breed of animals that have an index assessment for economically useful traits, full-genome genotyping data and breeding status. In breeding centers, potential breeding animals are subject to genomic assessment animals are producers obtained as a result of custom animal mating. The breeding center collects genetic material (sample) for genotyping and sends it to a specialized laboratory. At the same time, each genetic material (sample) is assigned a unique number linked to the individual number of the animal. Full text Russian Website adilet.zan.kz
