Abstract This Order, consisting of 11 articles, establishes procedures for collecting sample to analyse contaminating microorganisms and bio toxins in bivalve molluscs. It applies for monitoring species of microalgae which are potentially toxin producers, as well as to define official analytical methodologies to be adopted by the National Network of laboratories of Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture - RENAQUA. It specifies requirements to be satisfied in order to collect samplings for research purposes.
