It shall regulate commercial fisheries of fish species and other aquatic species except for aquatic invertebrates. Commercial fisheries in fishing waterbodies of national significance shall be carried out in accordance with fishing authorization issued by the Fisheries Department. Fisheries in waterbodies (water reservoirs) of common use and fisheries for scientific research, acclimatization, repopulation, fish breeding and control purposes shall be carried out in accordance with special permits issued by State Water and Fishing Inspection. Commercial fisheries shall be carried out by specialized fisheries organizations subordinated to Fisheries Department. Specialized fisheries organizations shall comply with the following requirements: (a) keep in line with the established quotas; (b) keep in proper sanitary conditions waterbodies allocated thereto; (c) carry out stock enhancement and repopulation arrangements; (d) mark fishing gear; (e) timely submit fishing reports; and (f) prevent fisheries from unmarked fishing vessels.
