Abstract

This Order, consisting of 3 articles and one Annex, establishes limitations for capture and landing of European anchovy (Engraulis encrasicholus) in Zone 9 of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea in order to manage the available quota throughout 2020. It specifies that fishing directed at anchovy is authorized for three days between 00:00 hours on Monday and 24:00 hours on Thursday, until the total landing of 600 tons are reached. In each 24-hour period, the same vessel may not land anchovy more than once. Regardless of the gear used in the capture, outside the period referred to in the preceding paragraph, the capture, maintenance on board and landing of anchovy captured in zone 9 of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea is prohibited. It is not allowed, during these fishing days, to land and sell anchovy beyond the limits indicated below: a) 2,700 kg for vessels over 16 meters in length; b) 1,350 kg for vessels with an overall length of less than or equal to 16 meters.
