Abstract

The purpose of acclimatization and stock enhancement shall be to increase productivity and economic value of waterbodies through targeted formation of ecosystems (improvement of species, increase of number of precious fish species and invertebrates, and also expansion of habitats thereof). Acclimatization shall have as its purpose release of fish species from one waterbody to another with a view of economic use thereof such as sport fishing, fish farming and biological melioration. Biological substantiation of the fishery use of waterbody, including characteristics of colonizer species, acceptance capacity of waterbody and acclimatization scheme. For the purpose of conservation of genetic resources of aquatic organisms release of interbreed and intergeneric fish hybrids to natural waterbodies and water reservoirs shall be prohibited.
