Abstract

This Order establishes that all manufactured foodstuffs, alimentary materials and products imported and traded by legal entities and individual entrepreneurs in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan must comply with the requirements of technical regulations, sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary standards and safety rules. Each food product, material or product intended for sale and storage, when imported, is subject to state supervision to confirm safety and in case of detection of hazardous food products, the state food safety authority prohibits its implementation. Food products, alimentary materials and products, the consumption of which is considered not possible for safety reasons, must be withdrawn from circulation and sent for storage in separate warehouses with sealing. Withdrawal of products shall be performed in accordance with a special report (Appendix 1). Hazardous foodstuffs must be withdrawn from circulation by the authorized state bodies in the field of standardization, metrology, certification and trade inspection, state sanitary and epidemiological supervision and state veterinary supervision or by the initiative of a legal or private person with the drawing up of a report (Appendix 1). Foodstuffs unfit for human consumption shall be classified as follows: (a) a) foodstuffs, alimentary materials and products with an expired shelf life; (b) foodstuffs, alimentary materials and products that cannot be used for their intended purpose, but can be recycled to bring them up to the established requirements of regulatory and technical documents; and (c) foodstuffs, alimentary materials and products that are dangerous and unsuitable for consumption. When identifying unsuitable products, representatives of state supervision and control bodies that have discovered hazardous products, issue an order to the manufacturer (supplier, seller) to immediately cease its production (trade) thereof. According to the results of the analysis of the materials received and their rechecking (if necessary), the commission draws up an order (Annex 3) for the destruction thereof.
