Abstract This Order sets regulations on trade, distribution and financing of planting seed varieties as listed in Appendix 2 and which provisions require the registration through the CPVO – the entrusted Danish examination authorities. A batch of planting seed mixtures must be registered for certification in officially marked labels to enable inspection for compliance with breeding standards as set in Appendices 3 and 5. The registration must be submitted in writing to the TystofteFund and must indicate under which category the batch is required to be certified, from which farm or certified parties it is originating and in which amounts. These sorts must come from a EU Member State as (1) pre-basic or certified seeds certified in a EU Member State or from a non- EU Member State which production of seeds is approved as equally to that of a Member State; and as (2) hybrid variety. A batch of traded seeds may be investigated in adherence to norms for germination as set in Appendix 5. The TystofteFund shall certify a batch of seeds in accordance to certification rules for seeds internationally traded and laid down by the Organization for European Economic Co-operation (OECD).
