Abstract

This Order applies to animal-originating food import to Denmark from third countries as well as others, including food transiting via Denmark. The purpose of this Order is to establish regulations on the approval of issued certifications, following thorough custom inspections. Food may be refused import in Denmark if found with residues of illegal or unauthorized veterinary medicinal products in adherence to EU laws (MRL - Maximum Residue Limit). Animal-originating food being imported in Denmark for analysis/research and/or exhibition purposes for country representatives (Embassies) may be granted entrance in Denmark. Lots of food, detained or seized by the Food Authority must not be removed, converted or taken into use.
