Abstract This Technical Regulation establishes the basic requirements applicable to energy-consuming products put into circulation or put into operation. This Technical Regulation provides for the labelling of these products and the provision of standard information on the energy efficiency of products, consumption of energy and other resources during the use of products, as well as additional information about products, with the aim of reducing their energy consumption. The supplier must ensure that each individual unit of products put into circulation is accompanied free of charge by accurate printed labels and product information sheets in accordance with this Technical Regulation and accepted technical regulations of energy labelling by product types. As an alternative to providing a product information sheet together with the product, technical regulations on energy labelling by product type may envisage that to the supplier is sufficient to enter the parameters from such a product information sheet into the product database. In this case, the supplier provides the distributor with a product information sheet in printed form upon his request.
