This Order applies to Danish ships in Danish and international waters, foreign ships in Danish territorial waters, platforms in Danish territorial waters and the exclusive economic zone, as well as ports specified under article 7. The Order sets regulations regarding the ban of emissions of ozone-depleting substances from ships or platforms including discharge that occurs as part of maintaining, repairing or disposing of systems or equipment. Burning on board of normal operational waste on ships and platforms within Danish territorial waters is only allowed in a licensed incinerator. The Order implements the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL).
