Abstract This Order applies to all types of batteries and accumulators, regardless of their shape, volume, weight, material composition or use and sets regulations on the responsibility entity, the Danish Producer Responsibility System, for an electronic register (producer register) of producers and importers who trade in all types of batteries and accumulators. Manufacturers and importers must report each year on 31 March to the Danish System about quantities of industrial batteries, accumulators and automotive batteries specified and classified in Appendix 3. The Producer Responsibility System may also require information on the amount of industrial batteries, accumulators and automotive batteries which are expected to be traded in that year.
