Abstract This Order sets out regulations on the classification of internationally protected natural areas as part of the Natura-2000 planning and Natura-2000 forest planning. The designated conservation areas are divided by habitat types: terrestrial habitat (Appendix I), forest habitat (Appendix II), and lake/pond habitat (Appendix III). Each designated international conservation area includes a target for its status, although there may be different targets for areas within the designated area. Target setting is made on the basis of analysis in adherence with the Environmental Act No. 335 of 26 March 2007 (in particular article 41). Objectives of each conservation area can be adjusted in the revision of the Natura-2000 plan.
