Abstract

This Order establishes the modalities of distribution of industrial quotas for freshwater fishes between regions of the Russian Federation and it shall be applicable inland freshwater waterbodies of federal significance. Fishing scientific research organizations under the Federal Fisheries Agency shall annually substantiate total allowable catch of aquatic biological resources in the inland waters and shall elaborate the proposals related to distribution of quotas between regions. The aforesaid substantiation and proposals and shall submit them for examination to basin scientific fishing councils that elaborate their proposals for distribution of quotas with the consideration of uptake of industrial fishing quotas by the regions for the previous year. These proposals shall be submitted by basin scientific fishing councils to the Federal Fisheries Agency by 10 November of the current year. Federal Fisheries Agency shall validate distribution of quotas by 10 December of the current year in compliance with the submitted proposals.
