The Order enters into force on 26 August 2010.
Abstract

The Order sets rules on safety zones around offshore facilities and accommodation ships within the territorial sea or continental shelf area around Greenland. The purpose of the Order is to ensure security and health during marine activity. It applies to ships and other vessels, aircraft, on mobile offshore units and other mobile systems and devices sailing, towing or anchoring in connection with fishing equipment, anchors, and other mooring equipment. Safety zones extend 500 meters around vessels or/and offshore facilities, however this measurement may be subject to change by the local authority.
