Abstract

This Order establishes rules defining environmental objectives for good surface water status (good ecological and good chemical status of surface water), good ecological potential and good surface water chemical status for artificial and heavily modified water bodies, and good groundwater status (good quantitative and good chemical status). Environmental targets for each surface water body should be established with the inclusion of normative definitions of quality classes of ecological status and ecological potential, as shown in Appendix 1. Of the environmental quality standards set out in Appendix 2, part C. Of the results of the analysis and specific values for boundaries between classes set out in Appendix 3, with regard to the monitoring of surface water, groundwater and preserved areas and natural surveillance of international protection areas.
