Abstract

The present Order establishes rules on the issue of certicates complying with nuclear and radiation safety in the transboundary movement of radioactive materials by the State Nuclear Regulatory Committee. The certificate is a document ascertaining the compliance with the requirements existing in nuclear energy management, in rules and standards of nuclear and radiation safety and in the process of transboundary movement of radioactive materials. Transboundary movement of radioactive materials includes export, temporary export, import, temporary import, re-exports and transit of radioactive materials. Application must contain the following data: (1) name and address of consignor of goods and consignee; (2) data concerning goods: radioactivity expressed in beckerel (Bq) with the respective prefix in conformity with the International System of Units (Ci), type of packages, identification number of each certificate; (3) contract; (4) licensing terms and conditions (number, date of issue and expiry date); and (5) period of validity of certificate. The Certificate must specify the type of radioactive material, its activity and quantity.
