Abstract This Order regulates fishing activity in the dam of "Flores" in the State of Maranhão. It consists of 8 articles specifying authorized fishing gear to be used and establishing the requirements to be satisfied in order to perform this activity into the aforementioned area (fishing net requirements). It also establishes maximum number of fishing vessels (300), maximum quantity of fish landing (20-40 kg per day), etc. Control shall be carried out by the competent authority Ibama. Sanctions for offenders shall be applied in compliance with Act No. 7.679 of 23 November 1988 and Decree-Law No. 211 of 28 February 1967. Full text Portuguese
