Order No. 126 of the Ministry of Agriculture validating the Methodology for the performance of molecular genetic research of genetically modified organisms used for the production of feedstuffs and feed additives obtained with the use of such organisms or containing them.

Abstract

This Order establishes the procedure for the performance of molecular genetic research of genetically modified organisms used for the production of feedstuffs and feed additives obtained with the use of such organisms or containing them. The research shall be conducted by an organization (testing laboratory) accredited in the national accreditation system with the area of accreditation corresponding to the research specified in this Methodology. The results of product research shall be formalized by the conclusion on the results of the research prepared on the basis of test reports, which must contain the following information and data: (a) the name of the conclusion; (b) the full name and location of the organization (testing laboratory) that carried out the research; (c) the name of the product; (d) the full name and location of the legal entity engaged in the manufacture (supply) of the product; (e) registration number of the certificate of state registration of GMOs, with the use of which the products were obtained or which they contain; (f) special conditions for the use of GMOs with the use of which the products were obtained or which they contain (if any); (g) information on the registration of products abroad (if any); (h) component composition of products, including information on the quantity of GMOs (share of content in%); (i) assessment of the completeness of the documents and data submitted by the applicant for examination of the products for examination; (j) summary of documents and data submitted by the applicant for examination; (k) description of product samples submitted by the applicant for research with indication of their quantity, as well as assessment of their suitability for research; (l) conclusions on the presence or absence of the declared GMO in the product samples; (m) surnames, names, patronymics (if any), position, place of work, academic degrees (if any) of the persons who conducted the research; (n) the period of validity of the certificate of state registration of products corresponding to the period of validity of the certificate of state registration of GMOs, with the use of which the products were obtained or which they contain; (o) date and number of the conclusion; and (p) signature of the head of the organization (testing laboratory) which carried out the research.
