Abstract

The Regulation consists of 10 Sections dealing with the following matters: 1) sphere of application (sect. 1); 2) reference documentation (sect. 2); 3) general provisions (sect. 3); 4) the modalities of elaboration of technical conditions (TC) and rules on standardization (RS) (sect. 4); 5) the modalities of coordination of technical conditions (TC) and rules on standardization (RS) (sect. 5); 6) the modalities of validation of technical conditions (TC) and rules on standardization (RS) (sect. 6); 7) the modalities of conferment of technical conditions (TC) and rules on standardization (RS) (sect. 7); 8) the modalities of registration of technical conditions (TC) and rules on standardization (RS) (sect. 8); 9) the modalities of amendment and abrogation of technical conditions (TC) and rules on standardization (RS) (sect. 9); 10) the modalities of implementation of technical conditions (TC) and rules on standardization (RS) (sect. 10). The Minister, for the purpose of establishment of the common modalities of establishment, coordination, validation, registration, amendment, abrogation storage and distribution of technical conditions (TC) and rules on standardization (RS) in the branches of agriculture, orders to validate the Regulation. The Regulation shall be applicable to agricultural production and food processing industry. Samples of new foodstuffs must pass compulsory degustation evaluation for the purpose of food quality control thereof and in order to make decision on the elaboration of technical conditions (TC) for processing of the new foodstuffs. Technical conditions (TC) shall be elaborated for foodstuffs, alimentary raw materials and semi-finished products. Technical conditions (TC) shall be valid for the period of two years from the date of validation and rules on standardization (RS) shall be open-ended.
