Abstract This Order, consisting of 5 articles, approves the National Action Plan for the Conservation of Sharks and Sea Rays threatened with extinction (PAN Sharks). PAN Sharks has the general objectives to mitigate the impacts on marine Elasmobranchii endangered in Brazil and their environments, for short-term conservation purposes, emphasizing the protection measures of the following 12 endangered species: Isogomphodon oxyrhynchus, Squatina occulta, Rhinobatos horkelii, Cetorhinus maximus, Mustelus schmitti, Squatina guggenheim, Galeorhinus galeus, Ginglymostoma cirratum, Negaprion brevirostris, Pristis pectinata, Rhincodon typus and Pristis perotteti.
