For bio-fuels and bio-liquids produced by installations in operation the 23rd of January 2008 (article 4, section 1) shall apply only from 1 April 2013. Abstract The Order sets rules on the sustainability of gas emissions from the use of biofuels and bioliquids. The use of biofuel or liquid biofuel in a calendar year shall comply with sustainability standards as follows: savings in greenhouse gas emissions from the use of biofuels and bioliquids must be at least equivalent to 35%, to at least 50% (from 1 January 2017) and to 60% from 1 January 2018 for greenhouse gas emissions from biofuels and bioliquids produced in installations used on 1 January 2017 or thereafter.
